Bootleggers, Bottles, and Bond!

Join 007 and The Bootleggers as they “Discover the difference”, featuring a spirit-forward tasting of gin and aged vodka from Crooked Water Minnesota Spirits.

• APPETIZERS • DANCING • COCKTAILS • • JAMES BOND MOVIE ATTIRE • PRIZES •

SHAKEN? STIRRED? DOES IT MATTER?

Well, actually it does. Crooked Water’s CEO, Heather Manley, will demonstrate while you participate with spirit-forward gin and vodka tastings — both the spirit itself, and the brand new cocktails. Named one of the distiller “Movers and Shakers” in this month’s Mpls.St.Paul Magazine.

Sun Country, Fun Country too!

Crooked Water has an agreement with Sun Country Airlines to supply in-fight spirits.

Disguise yourself in your own 007 attire. You just might win a prize.

What drink did James Bond prefer? In the movies he has accumulated over 20 vodka martinis. But in the books by Ian Fleming, Bond racked up 21 scotch and sodas and 19 gin martinis. Spread the cheer.

Whiskey A Go-Go

FEATURING A PROFESSIONAL TASTING OF 6 UNIQUE SELECTIONS FROM ELEVEN WELLS DISTILLERY

Self-proclaimed grain geek Bob McManus highlights the new points in 2 wheat whiskeys, 2 bourbons, and 2 ryes (3 aged and 3 new) — all through the lens of the extraordinary 13-criteria process for each small batch.

• Appetizers
• Dancing – a-Go-Go, of course •

• Prizes for best 60s attire (more whiskey in your future) •

The next generation of Bootleggers – in the mid-60s – spawned their own brand of underground adventure, inspired by Whiskey A-Go-Go in Paris. Whiskey and get-out-of-my-way go go. Rock was “cruisin’” and dance was “king”.

Dance lessons will feature the Nitty Gritty, Swing, and more.

Reserve your place at a table and spot on the dance floor. Space is limited. Bell bottoms are back.

The Bootleggers Bossa Nova

Al Capone, arguably the most infamous bootlegger of all time, felt the Feds closing in on his Chicago operation. So he goes on the lam. Where to? Not the Commodore this time. He heads south of the border, where nobody knows him. And he can get a legal drink. He chuckles at the thought as he steps into the Packard.

What Mr. Capone discovered on his tour of Mexico and South America is its own mystery. But we have an idea. And with your help, we will try to create a glimmer of that atmosphere.

See you at the Commodore. Click here for tickets.
